Next Monday, the 14th of April, at 19.30h, Conservas has organised, for the AAE, a discussion-presentation surrounding “free licences”, both in general and with reference to performace art, in particular.
It will be a “user-friendly” presentation, practical and simple, so each and every attendee will be able to be take control of their own destiny with as many licences as may be necessary.
This presentation is for all members of the AAE but is also open to other artists from other disciplines who are interested in the subject of ‘free licences’ or fed up of the hardship that is the SGAE. This is to say…
The more of us there are to clarify the fact, the more we’ll be able to benefit.
And if the ‘grandfather of dance’ Merce Cunningham can move across to copyleft, so can you.
Order of proceedings:
19.30h-20.45h:
- The concepts of free culture, copyleft, copyright…
- How the SGAE works ( as well as other adminstrative bodies) and how it doesn’t help you. Strategic uses.
- How to get your authorship recognised and respected, and how to continue making money – if you want to – from the reproduction of your work; all of this without having to give up 15.8% of your earnings, nor your grandmother being charged for using her radio in her bakery. The theory behind contracts.
- How creative commons works.
- How our legal advisory service will work.
20.45h-21.30h:
- Questions and discussion.
21.30h-22h:
- Conclusion and the law.
There’ll be beer, a touch of Copyleft music, wine and nibbles during and after the proceedings.
At Conservas: Calle Sant Pau, 58, bajos (Metro: Liceu)
